n. [Gr. peri, around; trema, hold]
1. (ARTHROPODA: Chelicerata)
In Acari, a concave plate surrounding a stigma (=spiracle).
2. (ARTHROPODA: Insecta)
An annular sclerite surrounding a spiracle.
3. (MOLLUSCA: Gastropoda)
